This was the point of the letter IMO

Ukraine sees the direction of the wind changing. Time is now on their side. Why negotiate now when next year they will be in a better position?

Let me translate it for people, who still think Putin (and in extension, Russia) wants peace.
Putin does not want peace. He is a megalomaniac. who wants to bully peaceful neighbouring country to give up part of their land, because he just decided he wants said land. Land, that Russia doesn’t need.

Putin never wanted Peace , only very stupid ppl believe this myth , including Trump 🤣🤣 only a dead putin will end the war

In other words Putin rejects the peace offer. Crimea is gonna burn, and soon.

Russia must fail and fail badly. The only way i see world peace is if russia is completely broken apart.

This was never a letter to Putin. It was a message to the Russian people. Ukraine needs to be going hard with messaging aimed at showing the Russian people just how completely they have been lied to and lied to and lied to.

      This is a great start.

And for those of you who do not think it can work, it worked in both world wars.

Just give him the secret to flushing toilet technology and you’ll never hear from him again

Putin rejecting a meeting isn’t about diplomacy, it’s about leverage.

Ukraine has been clear that any peace requires Russia to stop attacking and stop trying to annex Ukrainian territory. Putin knows he can’t get those terms at a negotiating table, so he pretends there’s “no point” in talking.

It’s just another way of saying he still thinks he can win more through force than through peace.

He’s right. If he really wanted to end the war he could do it by himself by ordering his troops to go back to Russia.

Fine, keep enjoying the drone-powered destruction of your oil industry and the world’s second crappest military then, you warmongering fascist midget cunt.

Your future has but 3 options:

      1) The Hague

      2) Torture and death at the hands of particularly angry partisans

      3) „Drink some tea“ and then „fall out of a window“ because the oligarchs have no further use for you and your 3-day SCHMOO is damaging their profits

      Now, which would you rather?

The bunker rat is unable to tell the truth, as it may lead to his demise. So he wants to keep this on forever.

    12. Man, I’m pretty sure Ukraine is going to make you see the point very fucking shortly.

He also said Zelenskyy was rude in the message.

So basically, Zelenskyy got exactly the reaction he was looking for. Putin is prioritizing his hurt feelings over actual human lives, and doing it publicly.

Just give Ukraine another 100,000 drones and watch Russia fall apart

    15. Indeed there are no points in there. They are all in the dealdoughs Ukraine will launch to the Russian oil industry

    16. Deep_Blue_Kitsune on

And that’s exactly why this open letter has been sent. It was to show both the Russians and the rest of the world who is actually the reason for not ending the war.

Normal people would have understood that by simply looking at who started the war and for what reason but some people need a little more input it seems

Because Putin views his legacy as dependent on re-expanding the Russian/Soviet empire/national boundaries.

He will likely have to lose boundaries on his eastern side to China as China realizes and asserts a power/leverage shift and repossesses resource-rich land that the Soviets took in the aftermath of WW2 (portions of Mongolia/Siberia).

Both Russia and China have nationalistic egos that are pre-industrial, defined by and proportional to the nations‘ boundaries.

The world should not allow further expansions/border changes that are not approved through free and fair elections determined and held solely by the territories affected.

Keep saying this, the only way the war is going to end is if Putler becomes worm food or the Russian economy tanks so badly either the people revolt or putlers own bag of wankers throws Putin out a window.

    19. I didnt read his letter to Putin. All i cant think is, „whah!“, chicken shit his response. Well Z tried.

    20. All is going according to plan. No need to negotiate.

Putin fooled around and will eventually find out.

Once he actually wants to negotiate is the time to say no and press harder.

    21. Ambitious-Concern-42 on

There is every reason to bring Putin to justice for what he has done. He must be arrested and put on trial.
