The readership of this post would appreciate someone attaching a copy of the editorial that the ADA was too cowardly to include in their publication. People go to these annual meetings to exchange views and ideas, even ideas that are not politically aligned with the powers that be.

These researchers are very brave to do this, given the admin’s propensity for retaliation. I hope we can all support them however possible.

I’m confused – these people published an article in Diabetes Care. Diabetes Care is the journal of the American Diabetes Association.
So the people organizing this conference (the ADA) approved and published this article publicly online. In fact, among the authors is the ex-president of the ADA. Multiple of the authors were invited to give talks and host panels at this conference after having published this article.
Then the authors attend the conference and hand out copies of the article and are kicked out?
I feel like I’m missing something.
