My dad was a musician in Minneapolis in the 70s & 80s (well and all the decades since, but more casually). When I was a kid I remember meeting Morris Day, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis just the way you might meet some of your parents‘ coworkers where you acknowledge their existence and then immediately go back to whatever kid thing was occupying your attention because they’re not interesting at all.
What people like Nicki Minaj or political agitator Michelle Malkin all learn in the end is that they will never be white and that is all that matters to the republican’s they are pandering to. They are nothing more than hired help.

That headline is misleading. Morris Day didn’t pull out, he said they were never going. His exact words were „Contrary to rumor, Morris Day and The Time will not be performing at the „Great American State Fair‘.“ He accompanied it with the caption, „It’s A No For Me.“ That list was just another one of this administrations lies.
It’s ironic that a bunch of “I’ll do anything for a paycheck” performers are set to play for the guy least likely to ever pay anyone.
