What are they getting so hung up about? Isn’t freedom of religion a thing here? Did some old ojisan get scared watching foreigners do something he’s unfamiliar with twice a year?

      What an embarrassment!

      Article 21 of the Constitution:

      >***Freedom of assembly and association*** *as well as speech, press and* ***all*** *other* ***forms of expression are guaranteed***.
***No censorship shall be maintained***, nor shall the secrecy of any means of communication be violated.

I would be happy to donate to any crowdfund that sues this city council to the Supreme Court.

I will go on the record as personally being anti-religion, especially anti-Islam purely from a philosophical/human rights view, but I also will donate to any legal fund that sues the government and goes after the bureaucrats in ichikawa. freedom of religion is essential.

in comparison to UK, last week people wanted guillotine back because cameraman at football match cut away from Asian players celebrating

    5. Funny how the Christian weirdos can come to your door or try to force their Watchtower bullshit into your hands at the train station, and the Mormon weirdos can follow you around on their bikes and bug you about Jesus, and the Buddhist weirdos can knock on your door at 6 AM to give you some bullshit pamphlets, but Muslims praying in a park together is not allowed. They are by far the least annoying religion in Japan.

    6. The Japanese can do whatever they want. It’s their own country. None of the foreigners business. You don’t like it, don’t visit.
