    1. That is *exactly* what Israel would do if they had foreknowledge of a zombie apocalypse.

Stop reposting dumb theories from world war z. This is the second time I’ve seen this posted.

This is just a synopsis of a scene in a movie based on a book. This isn’t a conspiracy.

I always thought it was weird they took an awesome book and made a shitty, seemingly unrelated movie with the same name

That movie was sadly mostly propaganda and a Brad Pitt pepsi commercial.

Because they released it. Now I wanna read the book cuz I’m almost certain WWZ was pure CIA / IDF propaganda that put them on the “right side” of history.

In the book, Israel is one of a few countries that manage to stand. They let everyone in, basically checking no documentation and fighting their own fundamentalist Israelis. Definitely a work of fiction.

But they did tell people. The minister was the ninth man, which meant he was to do something the rest of the other eight nations didn’t choose to do.

      There was 2 ideas

      – the Mossad is the best intelligence agency in the world

      – The israelis accepted the Palestinians but they cause the city to be overrun it’s stealth blaming them

I thought this was a little weird too.

In the book, Israel is one of the only countries to survive relatively intact. They closed it off and used dogs (like in the film) to check for the virus.

In the film though they changed this to, as OP said – some rescued Palestinians singing caused the entire city to fall….. its certainly felt like a message was being pushed.

    11. idk how would they know where to build the wall? they cant even define their borders

You might be overthinking it. I did notice a bias towards israel in the book too where they are a lot more competent than other countries and also more moral and upright in a way thats very different from the real israel but i think its just because the author is jewish american and has an idealized view of it..

    13. The movie is so hypocritical. On one hand it shows israel’s true colors and even showcases the famine they left the Palestinians in (the sick kid gets avoided by zombies and that’s how the protagonist figures out how to make a vaccine)

On the other hand, they try to instill their propaganda by painting the IDF as heroes (one idf soldier saves and escapes with the protagonist and even ends up sacrificing an arm).

„when the Israelis and Palestinians start getting along“…you mean when every Palestinian has been driven out of the middle east or murdered?

As a non-political point: this scene was always nonsense, because Israel (like any other country) would have been fire bombing, carpet bombing, machine gunning, artillery shelling those hordes of zombies as soon as they were remotely close to the wall. With the amount of diverse firepower Israel posseses, they could have wiped out a million of them in an afternoon in a cascading strategy of bombardment that kept the wall safe, and turned anything outside of it to ash within a few hours.

Instead it’s „we’ll just wait quietly until they either go away or die on their own…despite the total existential extinction level risk to ourselves if even one of them gets inside“.

      Zombie movies are so dumb.
