Vor zwei Jahren veröffentlichte Gurgen Simonyan auf seiner Facebook-Seite seine Idee, wie das Armeeemblem aussehen sollte.
"Ich veröffentliche das Emblem der Streitkräfte der Republik Armenien, das ich vor Jahren entwickelt und überarbeitet habe. Ich habe die bisherige Form beibehalten, sie gemäß den heraldischen Regeln korrigiert und mit siegreichen, reichen Semiotik und Symbolen bereichert."
Nun hat das Verteidigungsministerium eine sehr ähnliche Version dieses Emblems als sein Emblem übernommen.

Does anyone knows what the center symbol is?
UPDATE: It’s an Armenian church symbol, 8 wings cross.
It represents the divinity of Jesus and the reign of eternity (resurrection and 7 days of the new start).
The one on the left looks pretty good, the one on the on the right looks like it was designed by a toddler.
This does not actually conform to heraldic rules

Feels so forced with pashinyans Armenian map symbol on it.
Who is Gurgen Simonyan?
I hate the minimalism and everything, even though I hated the two years in the army, the emblem was good. This for me is just Pashinyan’s forced reshaping of things that though mecessary, could have been done better.
Also feels rushed. Plus the map has become so political I don’t even wanna see it now.
The only good part of this new version is that the MoD’s version has an angry eagle, while Gurgen’s eagle gasps
