It is a depressing but unavoidable fact that in this instance, Trump’s defeat is also America’s. And it’s important to acknowledge that this defeat will be very difficult to reverse. But there was never going to be a painless way out of the disaster of Trump’s second term.

At least more people are telling the truth, even if only for a moment, that it *is* a disaster. That’s a step on the road to recovery.

    2. When has the US ever won a war it fought by itself?

Trump loves to belittle Europe but the US hasn’t won a war by itself for the last 100 years.

Edit: lots of downvotes but no answers, which I think speaks for itself.

Not if you look at it from Don T’s point of view – he got the distraction demanded by Netanyahu and he got sanctions dropped on his master.  (Putin).   If he can hurt some more brown people MAGA will cheer.  When they retaliate, tRump will milk the dead Americans to gain back his cult.

The biggest irony of Trump’s presidency is the myth that he’s a „hard worker.“ In reality, it’s the exact opposite—he is arguably the laziest president we’ve ever had. He established zero substantive policies to help the average person, relying instead on performative executive orders and tariffs that achieved very little. Despite the rhetoric, he had no real plan to bring jobs back to the U.S. or stop them from being outsourced. Hes desperate to end the Iran war. He’s willing to do whatever it takes to get out, even if it means lying to his supporters about how „great“ the deal is. However, the one thing he can’t spin or cover up is the escalation between Israel and Lebanon. As long as those attacks continue, Iran will never agree to a peace deal, and it’s becoming increasingly clear that Trump has no control over Netanyahu.
