That’s OK. CBS News may have an empty suit dipshit reading somebody else’s copy, but they also have pan-faced mediocrity Bari Weiss running the show. So there’s that.

He certainly kicked the news department when they were down. Not sure they are his colleagues though, they don’t work in the same department.
Anyway, know what’s unprofessional? Not covering news because someone said something not nice about you. And the worst part? It only reflects on CBS news. It didn’t hurt Colbert to not cover his show ending, not in any way. It only hurts CBS news by making them seem willing to change news reporting based upon their opinions of the newsmaker.

TIL that CBS ownership and management are a bunch of bitch ass punks. TBH, I already knew that for quite some time but there’s no concise acronym for that, is there? Anywho, I will continue to extend my streak of not viewing anything that bears the CBS MAGA stench. I wouldn’t even watch the local affiliate’s weather if there were tornados spinning directly overhead.

Colbert took quite a high road. The jokes and the stuff he did with letterman were not as bad as some of the stuff letterman did to CBS back in the day. I feel like letterman would have went scorched earth if he was still the host.
There is nothing on this earth more delicate than a Republican.

I hope people start to realize that all of the privileges that we believe to be “freedoms” become largely irrelevant in an unfettered capitalist society, controlled solely by corporate entities.
CBS being shitty
I caught the last 30-40 minutes of Colbert’s finale and thought it was excellent. Classy, funny, and entertaining. I expected CBS Mornings to say something about it the next day. Even a single sentence. But, nothing. Not a single word. This helps explain why.
I’d argue that the host who’s highly rated, long-running late night show was canceled for political reasons is the one who is „down“, and the offended reporters who have the power to cover it (or not) are in fact „the man“.
I’ll be honest in that I rarely watched his show but the fact that a sitting president pressured his firing in order to make a merger happen is disgusting.
Oh and did you see the Prez wants all federal employees to sign NDA’s. No one should sign!!!!!!!!
