I’m in comedy land surrounded by sci-fi land. Why can’t I be in sci-fi land surrounded by comedy land?

The German speaking nations top genre being comedy is a joke in itself 🤣

    3. Why is „animated“ a genre when all of the other genres can also be animated

What’s German comedy? Work documentaries where mistakes happen and the boss yells at them for not following DIN form routines?

    5. This seems like an odd division of genres. „Fantasy“ and „Sci-fi“ feel more like settings, and „Animation“ is a whole medium

Like, you can have an animated sci fi comedy, or a live action fantasy drama, those aren’t mutually exclusive labels

Since when is fantasy most streamed here in Greece? I thought comedy and drama were part of our DNA, not that I consider it a positive because both genres here are very oversaturated.

Poland’s a bit surprising to me – if I were to guess based on what gets promoted here I’d figure „Crime“ and only the gritty, humourless stuff at that. A pleasant suprise to be sure.

Spain sci fi? No way, almost all the film and series industry is full of comedy (a lot are very bad tho)

Maybe instead of labelling the countries with the countries name the name of the show would have been helpful.

Germans trying to understand comedy is the best thing I’ve seen whole day
