No wonder why these „the day of a broke salarymen in Tokyo“ videos on Youtube feel so miserable.
Personally, I think average monthly wage by prefecture might not say much, since i doubt Aomori and tokyo have the same cost of living.
Presenting Hokkaido like this makes it look like Japan got decapitated.

Well, I know where a handful of these prefectures are on the map; could probably use some labels, though.
Medians or percentiles in general are better though
