Schumer’s election as minority leader was unanimous so presumably Booker voted for him.

Remember when Booker was the only Democrat to vote in favor of appointing Jared Kushner’s felonious father as the ambassador to France?
Remember when Booker voted against allowing sick people to buy prescriptions from Canada because of safety reasons?

Yea Cory. The party members have said that for a full decade now.
My questions are, are you admitting you’ve looked in the mirror? Or are you admitting to being a vampire?

I agree but Booker should be no where near the leadership. He is a part of the problem within the party.

this statement is misleading. It implies there is old leadership. There is no leadership and that is the problem with Dems. Booker and everyone else has their own agenda and they are unwilling to come together for a cohesive Party platform. They all think they can be president. If the Dems don’t pick a white, straight male with some charisma – they are doomed. They have not learned to play the new game of politics. Please, all you B players, quit pumping your own tires and thinking you are the new messiah. Unless you can pull off the south and borderline MAGAs – it ain’t happening.

Yeah it’s not going to be Booker, the guy has always been someone that gets vocal here and there, but never actually does anything to change things. He is a Donor Dem, like Schumer.

Remember when he spoke for 25 hours uninterrupted about the need for Democrats to show bold leadership and a willingness to change and stand up to autocrats? And then he voted to fund Israel’s military (again) the very next week.
Remember when he proudly said in an interview that he doesn’t take “big corporate donations”, and then shrunk in his chair when the reporter asked “what about AIPAC?”
Cory Booker postures and talks a big game about how Democratic leadership needs a change. He clearly thinks it should be himself, but the man keeps proving that he is NOT the change he claims he wants to see. (I say as a voter who placed him within my top 5 candidates in the 2020 primary).

Or they could just focus on things that people want, like not supporting Israel anymore and effectively addressing the wealth gap with either an income cap or a high income/wealth tax. Until we take our resources that we built back from the oligarchs and the Israel lobby nothing will get better in the shit hole country.
drethnudrib on
Then stop supporting candidates because it’s „their turn“ instead of giving young prospective leaders an opportunity to learn and develop. Until you act like you give a damn about the party’s future, you’re part of the problem.
