Peace deal to a war that hardly existed in the first place. This whole thing has been such a disaster. I’m actually surprised how reluctant trump was to finish the job/do more strikes. Especially this being his second term.

OK, yeah, sure, honey, but what does Iran say?

Iran’s state-affiliated Fars news agency has disputed Trump’s characterization, reporting that the Strait of Hormuz will remain under Iranian control according to the latest version of the proposal exchanged between the US and Iran.
The outlet said that Trump’s claims about the Strait reopening are “not true” and “inconsistent with reality.”

Trump is capitulating? So weak bro. Can’t even finish the job he started.

Feels like this is just a misdirection by the US before launching strikes again. Already conflicting reports from both sides about certain parts of the deal. Like Iran claiming it will still have control of the Strait of Hormuz while the US is claiming it will be open.
The reported deal also doesn’t seem realistic. The US releasing billions in Iranian assets, ending the blockade and moving troops away from Iran. While Iran is agreeing to discuss the nuclear issue in the near future. This screams the US is conceding defeat. Especially since the nuclear issue being resolved was a key demand from the US side
What happens when Iran refuses to negotiate or doesn’t budge on its nuclear program in 1-2 months? Or if Iran goes back on its word and takes control of the Strait again? We all know the US isn’t coming back to strike again at that point. So do the Iranians.
It’s clear Trump would rather have a diplomatic resolution but this reported deal is horrible.
