    1. Trump and the White House said it’s $1.8 billion. If you look at the document upon which Trump’s illegal scheme is written, however, *there isn’t any limit* on how much money Trump can steal from us and give to *traitors who tried to overthrow our country*. He could steal much, much more than the quoted figure. (Source: LegalEagle.)

    2. more ridiculous clickbait titles from The Daily Beast.

      literally nothing has „exploded“

they support this. they want this. they don’t care. they are stealing everything they can before the inevitable happens.

    3. Rude-Strawberry-6360 on

News flash: his supporters don’t care. The only thing they care about is owning the libs.

    4. It should explode in a criminal trial for embezzlement with a twenty year sentence and treble damages.

It should be a lesson to the next person trying to steal tax money.

    5. I, for one, think it is admirable for Trump to want to compensate all the FBI agents liberals who were bussed in to attack the capitol.

    6. It’s 1.776 Billion, how does just compensation happen to land on that number

    7. So is he giving Antifa money? I was under the impression it was Antifa that stormed the capitol but also it was true patriots that got arrested for storming the capitol who were sent surreptitiously by the Biden administration to make conservatives look bad.

    8. How is it exploding in their faces? They don’t care about anything but money and power. They don’t care how this makes them look. Nothing matters anymore. Nothing. It’s all fucking joke.

    9. Oh did it? Did it send them all to jail? Did it ruin their lives? NO. They’re richer than ever and they are stomping all of us into the gutter and laughing while they do it. They won and we lost. We are the shit on their shoes.

Why can I be audited when I’m just scraping by, but our “billionaire” President cannot? I thought we were all equal citizens under the law.
Also, why didn’t the Dems let the IRS nail his ass when they were in power? Stupid question…I know why. Dems are more afraid of looking like they did something wrong than they are of neglecting to do something that is right. The right will accuse them of malfeasance anyway. Why not make it worth it?

    11. The daily beast never fails to give me a glimer of hope at the headline until I see that it’s from the daily beast and thus is most likely sensationalized click bait.

Their click bait is top notch but never the hope the headlines pretend to be. This is why I dislike them.

    12. GreyBeardEng on

It’s also unconstitutional, the 14th amendment, section 4. The US government can not give payments to people convicted of seditious acts against the US.

    13. Notice how even Daily Beast rounds the number to 1.8 Billion rather than 1776 Million.

People are very uncomfortable accurately reporting the fact that the fund handing money to January 6 insurrectionists is explicitly structured as a reference to a revolution. We aren’t nearly reacting enough to this.

    14. paddy_yinzer on

No it didn’t. It’s just one more thing used to distract from the actual theft. The only thing MAGA cared about was the Epstien files, and now there is a chance that Trump has distracted them long enough they no longer remember. Now Trump just needs to keep blaming liberals for gas prices.

    15. RoachBeBrutal on

I never wanna hear fuck all about Hunter Biden or Hilary Clinton ever again. This is so fucked

    16. given the number of J6ers who’ve been convicted on CSAM charges since pardoning, it’s literally a fund to give free money to convicted pedophiles

    17. Sad_Examination7907 on

I was going to say how surprised I am that the Republicans were actually doing something principled. Then I remembered that the January 6 rioters threatened their lives as well and the selfishness jumped out of me

    18. Aggravated_Skag_733 on

We have a problem making millionaires out of undeserving people at the taxpayers’ expense, while $40T in debt. Covid was far worse but this isn’t much better. And I’ve been a Trump supporter now saying this. Iran is already gonna cause pressure in the midterms but this would send Republicans’ prospects into the dumpster.

    19. FatBoy_Deluxe_MN on

Magats have taken to saying they don’t pay attention to the news any more because the theft and corruption is so overt there is no defense.

    20. SpankBankManager on

I’m pretty sure Republicans get off on Trump exploding in their faces.

    21. Is it really blowing up in anyone’s faces? I assume the midterms and Trump’s third term are already set up and rigged.

    22. Did it though? I’m kind of sick of all this crap. Always the articles where Trump had finally screwed up… His base doesn’t care. They’re complicit in what he’s doing because he’s a means to an end for them.

    23. Communicate it like this: American taxpayers will be giving the My Pillow guy millions of dollars just because his awful pillows didn’t sell.
(Is there any doubt his application for reparations, which he announced he’s submitting, would be approved immediately?)

    24. blingybangbang on

Just imagine how great America could actually be if they had decent, competent leaders. Such a strange country

    25. Usual-Language-745 on

Donald Trump is not a republican. The Republican Party does not exist anymore. They just grasp onto shreds of any mutual gain they can.

    26. Fungiblefaith on

Well they finally found something that distracted away from the Epstein files.

#TAKE ACTION, NO $ FOR INSURRECTIONISTS

All these GOP fuckers who are „concerned.“ I will end up in a fucking straightjacket if I hear another one say that about something so goddamn serious.

GOP left without ramming that ICE reauthorization package through like they were supposed to. So, they are hesitant but not that hesitant.

If you have Republican member(s) of Congress, contact them. Some keep their automated phone lines on during the weekend/holidays. You can leave a voicemail(s). I have all Dem legislators and I’ve been calling them like crazy. And emailing.

The GOP need to return to 30,000 voicemails from their constituents about this treasonous bullshit. Don’t for a minute give them any peace. Use your voice.

There will be no consequences for this man. He will get away with everything and more is coming. Much more.

    29. AdjctiveNounNumbers on

      Let’s write that out. That’s:

      $1,776,000,000.00

      $63,795.00

That second number is the average American annual salary from 2025. If this theft of your money goes through as planned, the minute that $1,776,000,000.00 (of your money) is handed over to the 5-person committee appointed by Trump’s AG and serving at his pleasure, the US government has no control on it and there is no enforceable means of accountability or even visibility as to what becomes of it no matter who the next President is.

Teapot Dome has nothing on this shit.

    30. They will fall in line, just like they always do. They just need some sound bites.

Our government and justice system is a joke. Nothing matters when the POTUS can sue himself, settle with himself, and pay himself using tax payer dollars, all while giving himself and his cronies lifetime protection from financial crimes.

      ***The tyranny is already here.***

LOCK UP THE TRAITOR! God this is nauseating. He’s so anti america and the media echos it. Maybe we do need him to hand out infinite money since he doesn’t understand inflation. So he’ll just render himself poor when inflation hits 250,000%

    33. How has it exploded? Any of them in jail? Removed from office? Likely to face any consequences whatsoever?

    34. The $1.8 billion is just a number thrown out. The actual bill has no number, so it’s likely bottomless. Go watch the Legal Eagle video about it. He’s so freaking angry about it.
