JFC. I know this is a conspiracy thread, but climate change is a fact. Period. Was for decades, and still is, a highly believed fact in the science community. The only reason it „went away“ is because the country and media is run by rich greedy fucks who don’t care and have never cared about it and are happy to heat the globe up more and suck up water and electricity to fill their pockets. Every actual scientist and climate researcher still worries and fears it, and are absolutely still vocal about it. Saying otherwise just means YOU became the sheep they want you to be.

The people that are complaining the loudest about data centers are, generally, people who also believe in climate change because the data centers are going to be a disaster for the fucking climate and local environment.
It hasn’t disappeared. In fact, I would say ecological factors are a big reason why many are against the data centers.

Human influenced climate change is absolutely real , it is not about liberal propaganda . You can travel to other developing countries and ask them how wildlife and weather have changed , and they will tell you how they feel . Patterns of bird flights have changed , in some countries rivers are more dried up , crops are dying , patterns of ocean animals are changing
Climate change is absolutely real. I grew up in India and the summers have gotten harsher and harsher to the point where now its one of the hottest countries in the world. I clearly remember summer holidays as a kid not being even remotely as hot as it is now. The place where i live also used to have rainfalls during june to august but now its completely random between may and october

I think most people here missed the point Op was making. It’s not that climate change isn’t real, it’s that it was weaponized for a very long time by powerful interests as a social control mechanism (still is but they’ve toned it down lately). It’s like how BP made up the term Personal Carbon Footprint, because it deflects blame from them and their ilk onto society as a whole, even though they’re the ones who are responsible for 99% of the problem. So what Op is pointing out is that many of the major public figures (politicians, billionaires etc..) who were promoting climate alarmism, have suddenly fell silent on the issue in the last few years as data center proliferation has accelerated.
