Like how useless is our govt control system for pretty much everything?
In other news water = wet
„When asked directly whether Transport Canada sometimes allowed airport workers with organized crime connections to keep security clearance, Botelho answered bluntly.
“It happens,” he said.“
Wonderful. Good to know they’re diligently looking out for the safety of our country. 🙄
The problem is we went from being a high trust society to indiscriminately flooding the country with people from low trust societies. It happened so fast that our imports didn’t have time to acclimate to our way of living. Instead, they are shifting our way of living. Our systems dont have the checks and balances to contain this massive shift. So now we have to sit idly and be polite Canadians because calling a spade, a spade, is not nice.
The reality is what’s done is done. These people are here. People change and with time these people and the families they start here will acclimate to our way of life. What’s I’m begging for is accountability. For stronger checks and balances, and for recognizing the mess for what it is and not repeating the mistakes. You can’t get there without accepting there is real problem. Acceptance seems to be the biggest issue, because what I’m saying is probably considered too xenophobic for our mild mannered ways. 🤷
Organized crime has been involved in our port of entries for decades already. This isn’t new.
All at Pearson
Well that is very surprising. Bob was in the mafia, but I’m sure he’s good at loading and unloading bags. Nothing to worry about
A victim of this scam (like those listed in a previous article) needs to sue Transport Canada and then things will change.
So Transport Canada is the problem it seems, who from these organizations infiltrated TC to allow this? I can’t fathom how this would be happening otherwise. Sheer negligence? No, it’s gotta be more than that. I hope there’s a reckoning and a purge of these individuals, including the management that let it happen.
The amount of hoops I need to jump through in order to work as a government employee in an airport that uses the same security clearance system are prohibitive. Meanwhile..
Have the names been released yet?
Did these employees become a part of the organized crime after getting their security clearance and the job? Or were they a part already and the background check missed it?
🤦♂️
> Before his 2018 conviction, McLean had twice been charged with drug offences. He had also been caught attempting to pass through Pearson security carrying an empty ammunition magazine.
> Despite all of that, he retained both his job and his airport security clearance.
??????????????
I mean that means there is hope that Poilievre can get his clearance then right :)?
