I would guess majority of the disappeared people moved out. I personally know about 7 people in my area that moved out of Ukraine.

Refers to Ukrainian territory as ‘Kiev-controlled’ (Kiev being the Russian spelling for Kyiv), and the next articles are a piece about settling the conflict to address’root causes’ and another that Ukraine’s lack of large surface ships is why people aren’t acknowledging the success of Russian naval drone use in the Black Sea.

Sounds realistic. 37mil was really long time ago, Russia captured Crimea, Donbas region and the war drove out more people.
Weird how men of military age were barred from exiting the country (legally), while women had no such restrictions.
