      Last time she said one sentence and it became the most famous instance of cancel culture. They left country music after that.

      And she’s telling the truth. BUt, this time I’m pretty sure she isn’t getting canceled for anything. The people who canceled them are the same nut jobs supporting trump today.

      I’m going to go on an unpopular opinion maybe but hear me out.

      I love The Chicks, loved them for decades, saw them live in 2016, and I think that Natalie’s voice is the best one I could ever hear live. She’s a master.

      During the 2016 show they had prominent displays of political cartoons where they made fun of Trump, Bernie, and Hillary equally.

      It’s that kind of “they’re all bad” mentality that is partially responsible for the current state of things.

      I kind of hold a small grudge for them for that. Not that it was enough to sway the vote on its own, but sentiment and word of mouth are significant in the summer before a presidential election with audiences that represent a key democratic voter demographic.

      Democracy has been gone for a bit.  Once we lost the supreme court we were pretty cooked.
