Gemini directly in front of users eyes all day? Future with AI assistant but persistent real world advertising, recommendations, and surveillance integrated into vision?

Facebook already does this with their smart glasses and sold over 7 million pairs. Consumers clearly don’t care.

the hardware itself is not the weird part to me. contextual ai on glasses is probably inevitable at this point. the part that gets messy fast is incentives. if the business model is still ad-driven, eventually every helpful suggestion starts looking suspicious. people already barely trust phones with passive data collection. putting cameras and always-on assistants directly on your face raises the stakes a lot.
