Something seems off…I mean Japan valuing obedience least, and China very low as well…doesn’t match with what I know.

I’m guessing the translations were a large portion of the difference in results. E.G would explain Japan, Korea, and China all having the low obedience score despite being rigid hierarchical cultures.
They simply chose a translingual word with a negative connotation

Seeing Japan favour obedience the least of all countries surveyed shows immediately thay there are problems with this methodology in getting an accurate picture of a culture
