Fucking chaebols man. Even though this strike will cost them a shit ton of money in lost earnings, it’s nothing they can’t afford. They can take the hit just to make sure the workers don’t win.

It seems the issue is that samsung doesn’t want to commit to offering a transparent system (formula) for calculating the profit pool to be distributed, and they don’t want to institutionnalize it. It’s not about how much the workers get, it’s about what formula is used, and the fact that it’s a commitment for x years. To me that’s a fair request. Just relying on Samsung’s good faith to distribute bonuses that can’t be audited is not fair imo.
is there any possibility that Samsung just starts hiring new people? I was under the impression that just about everyone in Korea would love to work for Samsung
