Equal? They have a downward trajectory, we will be ahead of them in two decades.
Washington and EU are ruled by the same transnational capitalist elite. This is why their strategic objectives have aligned completely for the past 20 years.
Well there’s only about 2/3 of Usians compared to us. And our societies may be flawed, but not clusterfucks.

This is why Trump and Elon Musk endorsed Orban. Orban’s main export product was to divide and slow down the EU.
America wants EU to suck billionaire dicks like they do cause their media and politicians (controlled by billionaires) told them someday it will trickle down. They want EU to do the same, but it’s much easier to bully and manipulate smaller countries, so they try to systematically disband the EU.
They’ve always been trying to divide us. Even during the Iraq war more than 20 years ago they were trying to pull the UK, Spain and Italy to their side to tear us apart from Germany and France.

Once most Americans are waking up to the reality of a prosperous and powerful EU that even has better healthcare, social security, labor laws, prices, and on top a diverse political landscape instead of a choice between evil and more evil, this house of cards could come down pretty fast.
Currently educated Americans know all these things. But sadly, they’re far from the majority in their country.

She misses the point. Europe is a threat because it’s an institution that has a power share arrangement amongst large and small counties that are nominally representative democracies.
This type of power arrangement is a threat to those who seek authoritarian control of their respective countries, eg Russia and current US regime.
They want a weak divided Europe so they can have vessel states with similar minded leaders(Weak men who bendover).

Europians still dwell on allusion that they are relevant in the global scene. Of course they are a global economic power but that about it. It cannot battle with china or US in all most every sector and it economic power is vanishing slowly

EU would threaten US, only if EU actually had a somewhat comparable defense capabilities, and diverged more with US external policies, while seeking to promote and internationalize EUR use in pricing commodities, invoicing, trade settlements and starting swap lines with other EME. Only then it would threaten US, but we all now that’s not gonna happen because of Brussels elite is as deep in Washington arsehole as one can get. I know this part is going to be the down vote part for some. Because, it’s the hard to swallow pill that nobody wants to talk about. Aging population, no active military or advanced weapons. ASML is our only advanced large company. What are we investing in Europe that is new and groundbreaking? Nothing. A big fat 0. Trump is cutting our energy sources, making new deals with China while provoking Russia towards us, and in return, we help him destabilize the Middle East and take the refugees and pay him extra for the energy.
So please tell me, how tf are we going to be equals if you keep doing this? What could we possibly surpass them with? Spotify? Volkswagen? L’Oréal?

Not just an equal power, but also one that has accountability and democracy. Autocrats hate that idea. They want centralized power and unchecked corruption. Having other people point you out is really annoying for that.
