Windows 11 makes windows 8 look like XP.
Because they don’t give a shit about you but now they are scared because of users especially gamers starting to migrate to Linux.
It’s the hardware manufacturers that are mostly to blame here. I bet half the drivers that come from manufacturers are written by people who shouldn’t touch driver code. Of course, Microsoft has basically admitted that their QA of the drivers for certification isn’t what it should be either.
This is probably another point for Linux since most driver code is contributed directly to the kernel as source and it has to be examined and pass scrutiny before it can be included.
So they are tackling the hot bag / connected standby issue? It’s only been 10 years.

They knew for years but decided to ship a horrible product. Yeah k2 or whatever they’re calling it will never convince me to come back
I have just enough battery in my dell to do one 50 minute teams meeting. It also somehow drains itself while it’s turned off.

My work laptop is a Dell with a 10th gen i5 processor
It’s about 2 years old
When I pull the charger out the battery IMMEDIATELY drops from 100% to 95%
And the stated battery life when I pull the charger out is around 2 hours
And then I see the battery life of Mac silicon…
Sounds like a civil lawsuit to me
