Der Umweltschutzbehörde schlägt zwei separate Regeln zur Verzögerung und Aufhebung der Grenzwerte vor. Die Regeln müssen einen Genehmigungsprozess durchlaufen, der mehrere Jahre dauern kann und höchstwahrscheinlich vor Gericht angefochten wird.
Der Plan der Trump-Administration kommt nur zwei Jahre nach dem der US-Umweltschutzbehörde Legen Sie gesetzlich durchsetzbare Trinkwassergrenzwerte fest für sechs der gefährlichsten Pfas-Verbindungen, die untersucht wurden. Zu den Chemikalien gehören einige der giftigsten Substanzen und werden mit einer Reihe von Krebsarten und anderen schwerwiegenden Gesundheitsproblemen in Verbindung gebracht.
Der neue Trump-Plan zielt darauf ab, diese Grenzwerte aufzuheben oder zu verschieben, die laut Befürwortern der öffentlichen Gesundheit die Gesundheit des Landes gefährden würden. Pfas sind in der Umwelt allgegenwärtig und verunreinigen schätzungsweise das Trinkwasser mehr als 200 Millionen Menschen in den gesamten USA.

Sounds very on line with Trump. It’s like during covid when he said reports were no longer saying numbers were increasing, he was able to say that as he’d stopped them being reported. It’s fundamentally Trump’s SOP, nothing ACTUALLY has to be good/better, it just has to APPEAR good/better.

I went and actually read the articles…… this post title is so misleading….. the arguement from the Trump admin is the protections were rushed and basically they want to look at the pfas shit again, which is really them letting industry take a couple more years to completely remove these products. Yes this is Trump serving industry once again, but they aren’t removing this permanently stuff it’s pushed from 2029 to 2031 lol. Yes it’s bad but when you misconstrue the title and make it so drastic it does more harm than good. Gives them easy ammo to point to and say you are lying.
It’d matter if it effected data centers. Where we are at on the list of things. Household pets / people. My tap water comes with the warnings and cautions tucked behind the bill. Make sure to pay for that cancer water now. Or else! Life’s so fun. Being aware but still trapped in the rat slave race. Annoying at best.
Tons of people counting chemicals, but 1. They do what they want, and 2. We’re so poor we have little choice
