Living in South Louisiana it’s crazy to see that. Lots of Creoles with ancestry mixed up every which way down here. The history of suppressing that is ugly and completely nonsensical.

I remember reading this in my Dad’s (Louisiana) law book when I was little and he said it had recently been repealed.
I was shocked that the government would stick their nose into that kind of thing.
