Serves them right. They’ve been doing it to Ukraine for years

Finally after 4 years people in Moscow are started to see the results of the bear they started poking in ‘22.

The fact Ukraine is even able to do this should be alarming to the Kremlin.
If Moscow, which is the most heavily defended area in Russia relating to SAM sites can’t stop Ukrainian drones, then what hope has any other place got? And more importantly, what hope has the oil refineries got?

We should note that this happens just as russia bans their own strikes from being circulated on news and media.

Turns out, it wasnt the military might of the West which Russia needed to fear; it was swarms of small, inexpensive drones (toys, by many standards) loaded with explosives, launched at them from their next-door neighbor.
History is repeating itself and we get a front-row seat this time as David slays Goliath.

Not even the US or China have defenses today that could stop this type of attack. Ukraine is rewriting the rules. Taiwan should take notice.

I expect this to become extremely common given the vast scale of Ukraines drone manufacturing plan. And I don’t really see anything Russia can do to respond, they probably don’t have the resources to.
Honestly this will probably qualify as a minor strike in a year.

Just think of all the schools, hospitals, and apartment buildings that could be hit *if Ukrainians were as evil as Russians*.

In a very real sense this is the „Russian reverse cargo cult“ striking again.
What do I mean by this? What I mean is that there are countries that have automated sentry gun technology. There are countries that have auto-targeting systems that enhance the accuracy of handheld small arms against targets like drones. These things have been around for 10 – 20 years at least. Maybe longer.
But Russia is not among them.
Why? Because of the pervasive, corrosive, cynical belief that, knowing that their own technology doesn’t work as claimed, then therefore that must mean that nobody else’s technology works as claimed, either.
Nothing works, there have been no real advances in military technology, everything is just hype. And then the drones are at your door, not hype at all, altogether too real.
It’s the same thing that happened with *Moskva*. The same thing that happened with precision artillery. Really the same thing that has happened all over the Ukraine invasion. Russia’s elite military planners come in saying, „Well if they are anything like us, Ukrainians will surrender in mere days.“
Turns out that Ukrainians are not like them.

They need 1001 drones so they can call it the 1001 night
