Its genuinely depressing seeing this kind of rhetoric attract huge crowds in Britain now.
Framing fellow citizens, immigrants and political opponents as part of some existential “battle” only pushes society further into anger and paranoia. History has shown over and over where this kind of constant fear based nationalism can lead if it keeps growing unchecked.
