    1. It’s a problem, but no one does anything about it.

It’s nothing like in countries such as Germany or others, where you’re not allowed to flush the toilet after a certain hour, or the police will be called on you.

At three in the morning, you might be woken up by a car driving by with the music blaring.

Dogs barging are the worst. Construction sides genuinely respect quite hours but all these untrained dogs that are left alone indoors for several hours are a true nightmare

    3. It’s a normal part of life because we cannot do anything about it and police almost never enforces it, yes most of us consider it as a big problem.

Cars and Bikes are the worse imo and Police does nothing about them. They are extremely loud in the middle of the day AND night.

Construction sites are bad but people don’t say much if they follow the quiet hours. In the summer most Con. sites will start early to work a bit in the cooler hours but they don’t start loud machinery normally (but they shout to each other).

Our Sound proofing situation is weird/bad. Older houses have extra concrete cause it was cheap and concrete helps by soundproofing but at the same time the windows are thin af. New cheap houses are normally not good and expensive ones 50/50. We should have stricter rules and enforced rules around it maybe.

It is a big problem, just because it happens it doesn’t mean the locals are happy with it.

we had to move because we had a dog that was left outside and barked day and night. they also had a parrot that screeched like a person in a lot of pain. it was horrible.
we woke up from that, were not able to enjoy our time on the terrace, etc.
also the other neighbor had a crazy loud bike. I was told that the noise level of that bike is illegal, but noone cares.
in general there seem to be a lot of rules (e.g. smoking in clubs, driving with 1 meter space between the car in front of you on the highway,… ) and I sometimes read articles about wanting to make stricter rules (e.g. banning more types of smoking). what is the point if the rules are not enforced?
