It’s interesting to compare to min wage map. Basically matches up perfectly, except for Florida who got the short end of the stick. Expensive gas and low min wage. (edit: I got that backwards, Florida has good min wage)
I’m sure I’ll get ripped apart on this…but funny how the expensive gas almost follows the pattern of democratic controlled/voting states.
I know they tend to have higher taxes and such, but their increase seems disproportionate.

This map is not accurate for my county in Indiana. Gas is over $4 in every city, I just checked

I could’ve sworn it was like 3.80 a few days ago. Did it really jump 70 cents since I last filled my tank?
Edit: Holy hell it did!

this is the only time in history i’ve been glad to live in southeast michigan and work in northwest ohio. it’s not a huge price difference between my rural town and toledo, but 10¢ is 10¢.

The gas prices in the Central Valley counties in California I’d say are still on the $5 dollar average.

Lmaooo it’s so bad here in California.
I’m in the South Bay Area where it’s bad but work South SF where it’s worse.

I would love to see the price before any taxes or other fees, just the bare rate for petrol.

People here need to realize that Californias tax on higher quality fuel has worked smog is not as bad as it was since I was a kid not even 20 years ago.
And the reason we see how dirty that oil was is because of the geography of the state which is full of valleys and basins that trap the smog. If other states didn’t have flat lands that wind could push the smog over you guys would be choking and demanding something to be done the same way Californians did decades ago.

The “no data” boroughs in Alaska are well above $6.99

If you don’t live in the blue area… the gas prices are your own fault.
The higher prices are caused by the state government (taxes) which YOU voted for. You blame someone else for the actions of the politicians you put in control.

Well… it oddly makes sense.
