The cities hate this nonsense. Calgarians would vote 76% against this, and Edmonton is even higher at 80%. So long as Danielle Smith doesn’t disenfranchise the cities (and I wouldn’t put it past her) this referendum, if it ever happens, is dead on arrival.
They wouldn’t necessarily need to win Calgary and Edmonton outright but you simply cannot get blown out like that in the cities and hope to win a province-wide referendum. It’s kaput.
This poll also finds the UCP and NDP deadlocked at 43% in Calgary. It seems few people have changed their minds since last time – Calgary is still eyewateringly close and both parties (but especially the NDP) need to do well there.

Separation is nothing more than ex „freedom convoy“ morons throwing a temper tantrum.
There are zero positives with even talk of separation. It makes businesses nervous, investment more uncertain, and housing prices could absolutely tank.

Imagine that. Separatist talk dissuades people from investing
