What’s it like in winter though

Visited Cervinia in northern Italy from Switzerland by gondola. Looked like a poorly run town with no upkeep to infrastructure. Had to be careful not to twist an ankle while walking the streets because they were so torn up. Decrepit buildings. No thanks. We quickly returned to Switzerland where they literally sweep the streets at night.
