I guess I’ll need to move my war plan group chat to another platform…

    2. Reminder that the cabal of global pedophiles used standard email.

This isnt about public safety, its about population control.

      Not surprised.

There’s very few entities or groups that support this bill

If the government has nothing to hide, why can’t we have full transparency? If they want to take away privacy, why should they have any?

    5. I am not a subscriber, so can’t read the article.

Can someone explain whats going on?

Usually, I am supportive of Signal against governments, due to their privacy standards. I hope Canada is not in the wrong on this one.

I’m surprised no one has started a petition on the house of Commons website to stop Bill C-22 yet. This is absolute lunacy, and pretty much a poster child for government over reach.

There’s been a few websites that allow you to write various MP’s with a pre-written body of text, but it’s shocking there isn’t a larger grassroots opposition to this.

I grew up with apps like ICQ which was end to end. I don’t even like using facebook anymore because they spy on your conversations and it’s loaded with garbage. I like signal because it’s easy to use and handy.

Hope people are starting to see Mark Carney’s authoritarian streak.

People were sure upset when that trans kid shot up a school in BC. It turned out there were a bunch of chat GPT logs of concern but nothing was done to prevent the shooting. Screams of „the government should have known!“ „nobody did anything!“ sure ring hollow when the government is trying to do something and it’s all crying about privacy from people permanently logged into social media.

    10. Just more reason to have an iPhone..

      Thanks APPLE!!

End to end encryption is already a thing.

      Apple does it best.

    11. Stop calling it the lawful access bill. That language is designed to make it sound legitimate. It’s the civilian tracking bill.
