    1. mig 29 hunting shaheds with a full load of r-73s is a bit of an overkill, but impressive they can still do this after almost 5 years of war.

is autocannon too dangerous? or too difficult?

i always figured that good solution would be a cessna sized drone, but built like a sleek experimental high speed prop aircraft, equipped with a minigun, or even just a 7.62 machine gun. It could be airborne as the waves approach, and intercept and down as quickly as possible, using its speed and real time mission planning to maximize shootdowns. The top tier experimental can cruise at 500 km/h and approach high 600’s for max speed. Maybe just get behind the Shaheeds, say 100 meters and fire at whatever drone area that is most vulnerable. And if capable of pulling it off, also attack from other angles to save time and fuel, even head on.

But I realize that the area to cover is huge, and I don’t think anything will beat ground launched interceptors, as they can be placed for enormous coverage at low cost. So best to put resources into that. The issue is whether they can catch the jet version on a regular bases.
