    EDIT: Tippfehler

    1. I came across an unused one when I was clearing out my Grandparents house.

I’ve seen a few community WhatsApp group equivalents in a few places.

I’ve one better: one of the metal signs that used to be put up in neighbourhoods. A friend stole it one night and gave it to me because I was doing a project in college at the time involving road signs.🤷‍♂️

Around cork there’s some vvvvery faded one but very clearly distinguishable ones of these plastered around

    4. I wonder how many burglers were about to break into a house but stopped once they saw that sticker

    5. Honest question from someone from South America here: did they work or made any difference?

I still see the odd one, which, I guess, shows that crime hasn’t been entirely eliminated everywhere.

I remember these well. But I’ve always wondered what they were. Was it like the person who had the sticker was keeping an eye on the neighbourhood or that the neighbourhood had some kind of watch system?

    8. You didn’t need them. Neighbors watching was a national sport back then. The stickers were used to hide splits in the glass panes.

It got you cheaper home insurance if you were part of a neighbourhood watch and had a sticker up. The old nosey Karen’s loved every second of it.

    10. Now I feel like I’m losing it. Do I not see these on the regular still? Or is that just some personal mandala effect?

It signified which side the house was on in the Neighbourhood Watch split.
The Stickies disbanded after they were caught distributing forged $100 bills for the North Koreans.
