Reform candidates come in three types. Those motivated by crazy neoliberal ideology based on the sociopathic views of Ayn Rand (“The virtue of selfishness”) Hayek and Friedman. Both social Darwinists who thought that the markets should decide everything. Xenophobic and overtly racist. Some just want to enrich themselves at others expense and seek attention, and thirdly a hate fuelled repugnant mixture of both. Inept, ignorant, stupid, and deranged.

Strange, when the BBC asked Richard Tice about this he said it was just a „smear“. So why was he suspended?
I’m not normally one to knock someone’s appearance, but I think racists are fair game. He looks like something you’d come up with in the character creator in an RPG, or maybe an identikit photo.

Of course when new Reform councillors actually have to run things the attrition rate is likely to go up a fair bit. When right wing fantasy meets reality it can get ugly very fast. If we’re locked in to the reform timeline i’d much rather we get the one where councillors get suspended for this stuff than not. Even if it’s only wrist slap it’s worlds better than tacit endorsement of unironic vice signalling.

It’s like it was all orchestrated, use them to get the elected seat then replace them. Kinda like a lot of reform used to be torie. It’s just a rebranding.
I am a little surprised that the party is revoking their membership. I guess they feel that this sort of stuff is vote losing, but I am afraid I don’t. I think most reform voters will either quiely agree or openly support these types of comments.
Will all the councils whose reform candidates have stepped down do another vote, or is it just the next reform person in line
