Yes yes please would be amazing, it needs to be better than Interrails difficult system

But then what will Spaniards be able to all come together to hate if the Renfe site gets replaced?

    3. How would this work for countries where you don’t really have to reserve and buy tickets? In The Netherlands you just scan your card and hop on. Would this result in the EU forcing on The Netherlands to implement a reservation system?

Finaly, my holliday to the adriatic or italy becomes much more planable

also, neat of them to include a refund system akin to air travel

    5. I was on a trip through germany this weekend.
650km, 12 hours and 200€ with every single train being delayed – and I was already taking the cheapest connections possible without using regional trains!

Can’t wait for something like this proposal to pass!

    6. Good, now make single place to buy „tickets“ for the roads in every EU country.

    7. > Only about 8 percent of passenger travel in Europe is by train. The EU wants to sharply increase that number to meet its 2050 climate-neutrality goal, especially for trips under 500 kilometers.

Do I have to spell out which country will be most likely responsible for the non adherence of this goal?

now all it needs is cheap train tickets.

Flying shouldn’t be cheaper than going by train, but it was all that time.

    9. Ngl that would be awesome, and a step towards the end of daylight saving (time sync in transportation is often used as an excuse for postponing the end of dst)

    10. While I somehow agree: Not sure how this would affect pricing. Czech Republic has ridiculous cheap pricing for trains in comparison with Germany for example. And of course I would like to keep it that way. 😀

    11. Good luck then getting a train to Italy. We have issues to understand where the hell we should buy those

    12. about time, here in Sweden every region spent 5 million euro on their own system..

Not sure how much help that is when trains are two time as expensive as planes…

Also, make sure that the price goes down as the length of the journey increases. If I’m gonna take two days to get from Amsterdam to Madrid I don’t want you pay 800 euros for my self imposed agony. I want my agony to pay off.

I would prefer if they did single API so we can have multiple apps but one source for all the train schedules and transactions.
Gives us more chance of having decent UI
