This has been known for over a decade now. I expect the same response of inaction Canada has been taking with most issues that are specific to males.

Also considering how much misandry has become socially acceptable, I’m even expecting people to argue that this is based on fake data or that the lack of assistance is justified.

Yeah, but nobody is talking about this. We talk about the lack of women in STEM fields and create some programs and other things, but nobody cares about the fact that there are more men in academia than women, just to give an example.

We continue to take a very one-sided look at sexism nowadays, that was valid a few decades ago, but is not anymore.

    3. Oh no, who could have predicted it? /s

Very sad, but not at all surprising. I’ve tried arguing this for about five years but it’s like talking to a brick wall among my circle on the left 😒

My kids go to a school from.pre-K to grade 6. Every single teacher is a single, unmarried, female. Every single one.

Every few years in the US they come up with a new way to teach in order to solve systemic issues and a new way to test for success. And every year the US scores lower across the globe in its education.

We just can’t seem to deal that a lot of this falls on the parents and that some kids are just not cut out for it.

“My kid isn’t dumb, the entire system is structured against them!!! We need to tear it down!”

its not so much misandry but rather how Boys are socialized, and what expectations both their peers, teachers, parents etc put on them.

Tldr Boys will be Boys is putting young men at a disadvantage down the road

I’d bet this is a core issue behind the low fertility rate considering women tend to be hypergamous

This is nonsense. It’s 100% the fault of the parents. I’m a male teacher, and therefore was a boy when I went through school. It’s not inherently impossible for boys to sit still and do their work. Parents are not doing there jobs as parents before these boys get to kindergarten. They are setting their own boys up for failure in school.

Boy parents blaming the system instead of not meditating their adhd child… who in turn fuck up the learning of the entire class because they can’t focus and the system doesnt send them home anymore. System is fine, we still need road construction workers. Feel for the teachers.

Everyone in my house has ADHD and I have 3 boys. We’ve run into a few problems at school related to the kids not sitting still enough for some teachers and there was one teacher in particular that was a nightmare about it. It honestly took is too long to realize she was nuts.

We’ve read to them since they were born so they don’t struggle with reading. Math has novelty and the boys enjoy math and excel in it. But they hate writing. Imo, they’re given far to much choice in what they’re writing about. My oldest is in middle school and isn’t struggling with written all of a sudden because he has to write about a specific article they’re read.

I was literally one of these boys growing up, did poorly in school and had a hard time sitting still. Was never a bad kid but the teachers always just focused on the easier to manage kids which was usually the girls and the few boys that showed real promise. Dropped out of high school and struggled but eventually found my way.my entire adult life i have been told I was the privileged one and the problem. Its so discouraging.

Yeah but they are boys and grow up to be men. These are horrible creatures who only live to be systemically bad or something /s

This is one reason I like that our school only has half day kindergarten while full day seems the push now. My son could only handle a half day. He needs to run and play and have less structure.

    14. So this means guys will have quotas for university applications, right? Right? Special male only scholarships and grants?

      >Sabatini lives in Montreal and has three other children — all girls. Enzo is her youngest, and she says even in kindergarten, he was experiencing school differently than her daughters, finding it more tiring and difficult to get through the day.

      >“It was so much sitting still and doing worksheets,“ she said.

Why are they doing worksheets all day in kindergarten? That’s bad for kids that age no matter their gender. Have they not heard of [Play based learning](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Learning_through_play)?

Were schools really more accommodating of kids with difficulties sitting still and paying attention back in the 50s, 60s, 70s? I was under the impression that they were far more strict and that we’ve come pretty far in terms of awareness of things like ADHD and different learning styles. What is the actual solution to help boys learn better?

The school system has failed us all for decades. Don’t count on schools to save anyone’s self-esteem. Do the work of building your children up at home; it’s up to you, parents. Signed, former straight-A student.

I keep telling people that misandry has gone mainstream in the west. You can deny it all you want but that’s the truth. Men and boys face discrimination in various ways (right from school, college/uni scholarships, DEI in hiring, family laws etc). High suicide, homelessness, homicide rate when compared to women.

    19. Stop giving kids tech before the age of five or else it is just going to get worse.

    20. Do you think it’s related to the high levels of environmental pollution l do. CO2, at 800ppm brains start loosing cognitive abilities, perhaps when younger it starts at lower levels. imo it’s all related to burning fossil fuels.

    21. My 6 year old son just started seeing the Speech Therapist last week. He’s way below average, in both languages.
The article explains perfectly what we or my son is experiencing, I’m genuinely concerned.

And while boys outwardly show signs of ADHD, girls suffer in silence and more likely to be overlooked with ADHD and other learning difficulties because they are taught to sit still and be quiet. How many women are just now being diagnosed with ADHD after a lifetime of being undiagnosed? This happens to boys too. Not all boys are unable to sit still and not all ADHD presents this way.
