    1. One of them is putin doesn’t have cards to play anymore. So he may be trying to end the conflict with whatever bargaining power he still has, if he ends it later lets say one year from now, he will likely be in a even worse position than now. So it may be better to cut your losses now than later

Talking about? Bunker grandpa uttered a single sentence.

      People need to calm down.

It was a small reassurance to the Russian people: everything is under control, we’ll wrap this up soon.

      Means nothing.

He’s said something similarly for years. Only thing different is people taking him seriously this year.

Talk is cheap. We can take this seriously when Putin orders his troops to withdraw from Ukrainian territory.

This is realization of reality slowly settling into a delusional person.

The false prospect that the war approaching its end is calculated to sap the morale of the defenders ( i.e. why die now? what are we fighting for…?) and also boost the morale of the Russian populace ( i.e. thank goodness it will all return to normal soon…)

Just more psyops, people…..nothing to see here

He’s trying to buy time to regroup and attack again. His asset Krasnov is also singing the same tune….so you know it’s what he wants.

    9. Makes perfect sense to me. Russia is very clearly months from national crisis and on top of that Ukraines stated intention is to take their casualty rate from unsustainable to catastrophic.

If Putin can’t find a way out now he knows he is done. Course its been blindingly obvious he is done no matter what for at least a year to any outsider.

    10. Because now Ukraine is striking freely all over Russia and promising the war will last forever is suddenly very unpopular.

    11. Russia is trying to get the same deal via an European negotiator. „Give up Donbass and what ever we control now“.
