Kimmel is doing so “out of deference to Colbert’s sendoff,” per news site LateNighter, which noted that Kimmel did the same thing in May 2015 for David Letterman’s final show on CBS’s “The Late Show.”

      Love to see the respect from Kimmel. Was lucky to be in the audience for last Thursdays taping of Colbert, it was a blast and it sucks to see him go.
