I thought this was a picture of the moon until i read the text
It really would help if you explained how this condition came to be. Constant non-cleaning? A one-time spill with starch-heavy water (e.g. pasta water)? Or after an attempt of cleaning some other, less prevalent encrustation?
OP, you could also have said: “Even after trying to clean it, I can still SIEMENStove is dirty”.
looks like the moon
Try posting on r/CleaningTips
Baking powder + any acid (lemon, vinegar, etc) does nothing, except create salty water.
If it was mostly water spills, I would try again with vinegar or citric acid (found in rossmann, dm, rewe). Wet some paper towels with it, put them on the stove and let them be for a while. Then take them off and see how it reacts. If it gets better, but not completely gone, repeat the process.
(If I understood the formulas correctly, everything you’ve tried so far is more basic -as in the ph- based, and that does nothing against mineral leftovers of water).
For something simple as pasta and rice water, you should’ve not use aluminum scraper. It seems to öe that you damaged the coating.
[There’s a tool for this.](https://www.amazon.com/KitchenCraft-Stainless-Steel-Ceramic-Scraper/dp/B0001IWZX6)
Please give an update if you ever find out a solution. Also, I believe there’s some kind of glass-safe scrubber for situation like this but I dont have any more info than that.
There are special cleaners for ceramic stoves. Depending where in the world you are, one should easily be able to find them, it’s just a matter of knowing what it is called.
I’ve had success with oven cleaner and a scrub daddy. Wear gloves. Apply oven cleaner, cover with paper towel, leave for 1 hour, use scrub daddy, repeat until all clean.
Really wish I could find shumanit here that’s not ridiculously priced. That stuff will get any food stain off without needing to scrub
„In a galaxy, fast, fast away..“
*music scratches* wait.. is that a mirrored Siemens logo?!
My first thought was: „What’s wrong with that really cool picture of the moon?“
Isn’t that just baked on. They have specialty razor blades for ceramic tops. After putting a solution on it then it will scrape right off.
If the glass isn’t damaged I would try the blade cleaner contraption to scrub any burnt residue.
If there isn’t any residue or crust to scrape off then I would apply toothpaste and polish the glass with a paper towel. Keep in mind that if you want the shine to come back you need to really do some serious polishing and I would insist on small areas at a time to get a better sense of the progress.
Maybe try super fine grain wet sandpaper to buff it out. I melted my bath tub with Acetone and tried everything but nothing worked, but wet sandpaper buffs the surface to reflect light and it’s now invisible. Hope this helps!
Not sure if you can get it in Germany, but Bar Keepers Friend would probably do the trick.

Maybe try Isopropanol?
You need to use a stove scrapper
For maintenance, wipe the stove with a damp microfiber cloth right after cooking when the stove has cooled down, so that splattered oil and such does not build up. Also wipe again just before cooking so no dust or crumbs or whatever else that might have dropped onto it will be burnt in.
For boiled over water or milk, etc. first use a stovetop scraper (basically a razor blade with a handle, often costs around a Euro at Rewe or Kaufland, Rossmann, or similar), then wipe down, apply some ceramic stovetop cleaner and scrub vigorously with a paper towel. Let the cleaner dry completely, take another paper towel and dry polish stovetop this last step will often get rid of the most stubborn stains.
Unfortunately, some discoloration of the surface can be permanent, especially if you have a tendency to cook with very high temperatures.
I use pink stuff paste for this. Wet the whole stove area a little. Apply the pink stuff paste from the tub. Using a dish scrub – gently clean the surface. I use my fingers to feel the bumps on the surface and then spot clean those. Gentle scrubbing is the key.
Bro i legit thought it was either a picture of the moon or sometthing has to do with space😂
looks like a picture of some moon in a distant galaxy lmao
I’ve always used a razor blade on my glass cooktop to remove tougher stuff, obviously need to be careful of not scratching off any of the markings (although I’m not sure if they come off that easily)
r/aliens?
Hob scrapers should just come with the product at this point.
First I thought it was a brandnew catastrophic event like „Aliens put a Glasbowl over the earth“ and then I realized it was just a Stove..
I thought this was an album cover for some sort of experimental electronica
I thought this was a screenshot from a space game before checking what sub this was
