French speakers barely tolerate to be recommended something.
Idiot vandals
„Essential“ isn’t „compulsory“.
And no signs in Italian cause they know we won’t read them
And everything with an exclamation mark and no „please“ and „thank you“. Rudeness!
And here I am last summer, having overprepared because of its reputation as the deadliest trail in Switzerland, coming down the mountain only to see an old local guy going up barefoot.
maybe cause most times foreigners die there if there is an accident.
as a local i do not understand why grosser mythen is one of the deadliest hiking trails in switzerland.
pro tip – also don’t attempt to do this trail with someone slightly afraid of heights.
The people who would try this in flip-flops are the people who don’t really know what „perfect footwear“ means in this context.
It is quite a dangerous hike.
tbf, there are people that would run up there in trail running shoes (if it were allowed, though laufen in high german actually means running) and for most people it’s still difficult wearing the „perfect“ shoes…
That’s the way to cap population at 10m
