Dave Blunkett was a UK minister 2001 to 2005 when the UK was still part of the EU. He is blind from birth.

Before someone tries to defend him from people who make blind jokes, you should know that he likes them and he frequently makes his own blind jokes.
First fully blind Hungarian public official – that I know of – since [1141](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C3%A9la_II_of_Hungary).
If he’s the disabilities minister it will be the blind leading the blind
This matters a lot, disabled people rarely get to high positions in our society. May he be an inspiration to any blind people
Not very familiar with Hungary, but is Magyar a common name? Having a leader named Magyar gives off Charles „the Gaul“ (yes, I know de Gaulle is not literally that but it’s what it sounds like).
During one of his speeches he said „Even the blind can see the corruption of this country“. Dude is hillarious.
