Ein Mann Ende fünfzig. Spricht fließend Deutsch ohne Akzent, wahrscheinlich Schweizer Herkunft.

One guy is not a complete culture.

      Still glad you spoke out!

You know what else matters in Swiss culture? Minding your own business. I would have told you the same thing.

I genuinely hate when people put their shoes on the seats, but this is totally fine. His shoes are not touching the seat. If anything, he’s basically cleaning the table with his pants lol.

I wish civic behaviour would be prioritized in western societies as much as in East Asia.

I don’t find it very elegant but it’s not making the seat dirty, so I’m okay with it.

There is a difference between something we don’t like and something that should be banned.

When I was a young teenager, a tram driver used to call out „Füsse vom Tisch“ to us.

We realised at one point he did that because we wouldn’t put our feet on the table at home either.

Which is funny coz this is a table. But tbh, there is no one else there and it isn’t touching the seat. Sometimes just let things go bro.

      pigs will be pigs, simple

I’d ask this guy if he’d eat from that table

probably won’t even though his shoes were not touching it

you were the only very rude person in this situation. he did not have his shoes on the seat. having his pants on the table is completely fine. you were not sharing the seats with him, right? so, you basically destroyed the man enjoying his travel AND took a photo, which he probably noticed?! jesus, woman. „strike a balance“ you’re completely off base! poor guy. who do you think you are, talking to a grown up man like that? really. you can do that with kids or teenagers, if you dare.
