Does anyone know if France has made their Linux fork available to the ordinary person?

I’d really like to ditch Windows, and if France is pushing a particular fork of Linux, then it’ll have more that just cursory levels of support and help, should you do something stupid with it.

I just wonder how they’re going to replace Excel from the Ministry of Finance. I don’t think there is any Linux based equivalent in terms of features.

Maybe some browser based Excel via Microsoft 365 or some remote desktop.
