Republicans Don’t Need to Win Elections Anymore. They Just Need Their Judges.

Justice Roberts and the rest of evil judges in America have killed our democracy.
GOP will win again in November because the election is 100% rigged.
This is what is the top of my mind right now. We are all fighting about legality and gerrymandering and this and that. But does any of it REALLY matter when your state or country just needs the right judges to give rulings that favor you? I mean people are saying it all over themselves. The judges declared it so it must happen. Who really cares what is or isn’t technically legal anymore when all of us know now the judicial system is corrupt and rules in their party’s favor on any side?
And this doesn’t even take into account situations like in Ohio where and illegal map was used for 3 years because according to federal courts “well we don’t want chaos so let’s just use the illegal map”. You can actively ignore the law and delay until a system benefits you fit an election cycle or 2 and repeat.
America’s system is in shambles right now and I have little faith it can be repaired any time soon as everyone fights to cement their side’s power. I have 0 respect for every single branch of government currently and only expect people will keep acting in self interest more and more as time goes on rather than actually making it better
Three million votes nullified. This is what a real threat to democracy looks like. If they can’t beat you, they’ll just find a judge to say you don’t count. We need to remember this in November.
„In a dissenting opinion, Chief Justice Cleo Powell wrote that the majority had “broadened the meaning of the word ‘election,’ as used in the Virginia Constitution, to include the early voting period. This is in direct conflict with how both Virginia and federal law define an election.”“
They never need to win another election. No one is saving us. No one is stopping them. Their appetite for destruction of liberals knows no limit.
FYI…the VA legislature can just do what Tenn did
So if you’re playing along at home, the soapbox, ballot box, and jury box are against you. I don’t remember the rest.
Honestly wonder if the way the court split would be the exact opposite re for/against if it was the Republicans doing the gerrymandering. I like the fact that the Virginia constitution mandates 2 referendum votes separated by an election to immunize gerrymandering on an election cycle. But asking whether the first vote in this instance should/shouldnt count because it happened 4 days prior to an election leaves meat on the bone for either party to have said it disenfranchised early voters in the first election.
Fun fact: there are more federal judges appointed by DJT today than any other president
Ok….this might be a fact, no fun here….sorry
If Tennessee can do it just fucking do it and tell the judges to eat shit.
The only way they know they can win is by not including the American people- that says everything to me.
I mean that’s how they won in 2000
And whats to stop the rest of us from doing what the republikkkans do and just ignore the rulings? Why do people insist on playing by rules the opponents refuse to honor is really puzzling.
Just ignore the ruling like Republicans do.
We need to strike now. I know we „can’t afford to“. Neither can I. We’re lacking clear leadership from the left. I think we’re all ready to but don’t know where to start with the power being where it is.
Jim Crow 2.0 is something else. It is taking away the majority vote now.
Congressional electoral shenanigans would be mitigated heavily by substantially increasing the size of the House. Smaller congressional districts are more difficult to gerrymander in substantive ways. The smaller you go, the harder it gets. This is relatively easy to accomplish with an amendment to the The Permanent Apportionment Act of 1929.
This issue is eliminated entirely by doing away with single-member representation, and instituting some manner of proportional representation. Whereby the citizens vote for platforms, or parties, rather than people. Not dissimilar to many European governments. There are of course many other considerations with this fundamental change to Congress. Citizens no longer have a single person to rely on, or point the finger to. But instead must rely on a national party to fight to re-open their rural post office. But it would make it so gerrymandering is a word you’d never hear again. This would require the assent of 38 states.
California and Virginia – Held elections to allow redrawing districts
Florida, Missouri, Ohio, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas – Rammed through with no public vote
Make it make sense, what’s (D)ifferent here?
This is the culmination of Mitch McConnell’s ambitions
Mitch McConnell said for decades ‚we need the judges‘.and as we know, he and his cohorts did all they could to block both federal and supreme
Republicans have been planning this for years they have schools that teach conservative justices this plan stuff like the Heritage Foundation Democrats absolutely need something like this that and to rig every blue state.
Trump literally said we would not have to vote again if he won. Looks like that is the way it is headed
Is it civil war time yet?
Dear Virginia,
> In a dissenting opinion, Chief Justice Cleo Powell wrote that the majority had “broadened the meaning of the word ‘election,’ as used in the Virginia Constitution, to include the early voting period. This is in direct conflict with how both Virginia and federal law define an election.”
Constitution of Virginia » Article IV. Legislature » Section 17.
Impeachment
The Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, **judges**, members of the State Corporation Commission, and all officers appointed by the Governor or elected by the General Assembly, offending against the Commonwealth by malfeasance in office, corruption, neglect of duty, or other high crime or misdemeanor may be impeached by the House of Delegates and prosecuted before the Senate, which shall have the sole power to try impeachments. When sitting for that purpose, the senators shall be on oath or affirmation, and no person shall be convicted without the concurrence of two-thirds of the senators present. Judgment in case of impeachment shall not extend further than removal from office and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust, or profit under the Commonwealth; but the person convicted shall nevertheless be subject to indictment, trial, judgment, and punishment according to law. The Senate may sit during the recess of the General Assembly for the trial of impeachments.
People have been fucking screaming from the rooftops for YEARS that this was all about the judiciary. A decade I’ve seen articles about how the judiciary was the end game. And yet, here we are.
God I hate this timeline….
It’s like democrats have learned nothing since 2000 when the SCOTUS awarded the presidency to a Republican while votes were still being recounted.
Ignore the fuckin state Supreme Court and run the fuckin maps anyway. Stop playing by the same old rules from the same old game when Republicans have been playing a *totally different game for decades now*.
The judges need removed.
Republicans need to be voted out in every possible election. They need to know what it is to be traitors to the US
Just ignore the ruling. Ohio did, plus laws only mean anything if they are supported by the population they are being stricken on. Three million people would agree that you should ignore this ruling.
Imagine what 3 million people could do if they worked together.
Ignore the court! They have no way to enforce their ruling, just keep the districts as they were laid out by the vote of the people.
Sorry, but this is it. Im ALREADY hearing Dems talk about 2028. Theres no fucking chance of anything fair in 2028. If we dont blast the midterms there will never be anything consequential the democrats will ever do for fucking genrations.
As I’ve said multiple times, 2024 was very likely our last chance, and it was botched from the top down. Our only real hope now is that Republicans are so bad at their jobs that they might not be competently evil enough.

Wasn’t that why Mitch McConnell was all about. Packing the courts at all levels
Do it anyway. The people voted for it. The supreme court has no say anymore.
What is the conservative end game? Let’s say they win everything… Cool what worker productive will they harness with their idiot voters and everyone else fleeing or not helping? What technology will they lead in because with a population that stupid you will not be cutting edge?
If these idiots win they destroy the very prize they seek to control. America was at its best with a thriving and educated middle class that could afford to power the economic engine of capitalism. It’s so short sighted as to be moronic.

For years, I tried to fight against this. To believe with work it could be proven untrue, or in the least undone. I’m in my forties, the band was right. We would need a revolution for this to not be true at this point. The courts are stacked, the executive branch is rotten to the roots, and congress are too busy counting money to do anything at all.
In Ohio, Republicans just ignored the supreme court and used the maps they wanted to.
So devastating watching our democracy collapse.
