what are we getting out of these nationalisations anyway? The prices arent changing and the service is the same.

Other lines have been under our control for years. LNER line for example. There’s been zero change there

    2. “The line it uses was built between Bristol and London by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and opened in 1841.”

Given how bumpy it is, I wouldn’t be surprised if there has been no maintenance since 1841.

Nationalised but the rolling stock companies stay private.

Nationalise the loss making. Keep the profit making part private. Just about sums up neo-liberalism

Can they renationalise Cross Country? I am sick of them. Unreliable trains and never enough capacity.

    5. Cannot wait for the rebrand to result in higher ticket prices. Should have bought all the rolling stock…

    6. It all means basically fuck all until the ROSCOs are sorted out. It’ll have no tangible effect on prices.

    7. Starmer why didn’t you do this last week?? I know the rules say you can’t do big things during local elections, you can’t campaign, (local elections are for local people [yes really]) but you could have leaked it.

Hopefully theyll change the fucking rock hard seats, and reduce prices for services through the Severn tunnel. The cost from Wales to Bristol is extortionate.
