    1. So in other words they can pay up to 13000 employees the 900k$ one time and I will be cheaper than the strike…

Then you’ve got US companies like Microsoft/Amazon who are making record profits and reducing benefits for employs and making them fight for their lives

    3. Hey, America, this is what protesting looks like. These guys are fighting harder for a raise than y’all are fighting to save your country.

You Reddit people know now, right?

Companies like Samsung, Hyundai, KIA, LG, and SK, which you cited as examples while ridiculing Korea as a dystopia, provide their employees with bonuses of hundreds of thousands of dollars every year.

You don’t need to worry about them. Please worry about yourselves. LOL.

    5. I am hobestly shocked by these numbers. 4-900 kUSD as annnual bonus, for a std employee, where avrg annual salary is, what, like 30k. What the actual fuck? Is this normal in Korea?

I dont find words. In the EU bonuses are like 10-20% of ones annual salary not 1000%. Absolutely bonkers.

    6. These are crazy figures. The single year bonus of a random factory worker could buy them a house

    7. samsung and all chip makers should be raked over the coals with price regulation over the price gouging and broad failure to meet market demand.

This is beautiful. Workers should benefit more from a company’s luck of the draw. The workers have the power if they stick to it. It would be a great example for the rest of the world.

    9. Apple workers will never see anything like that. Stingiest employer in the tech world.

    10. For once it would just be beautiful for a corporation to be philanthropic to their staff. Just because they can, without saying A is better than B. They’ll make more money next year and have the most loyal employees on the planet. Can you imagine treating employees as living beings and let them share in profits which they help build rather than hoarding it ?!!!

    11. I hope they win. All the big companies are turning profits with AI optimization and the plebs are getting nothing or worse.

This is very funny considering there is a good chance the whole AI bubble is gonna burst soon. Hope these workers get the money they were promised before the bubble pops.

    13. pay your fucking employees

how stupid do you have to be, especially when youre making obscene amounts of money like never before??

    14. Not all divisions make the same revenue, should be a percentage of what each sector has made in profit.

Just give back to your workers some of the profits for gods sake… even the fact that this has to be protested means how fucking miserable this type of capitalism has become. They only care about top executive bonuses and increase share value.
They just don’t give a fuck about regular workers… if they could pay less they would.

    16. Meanwhile my company freezes raises due to ‚tough times‘ then posts record breaking profits 3 years in a row.
