„The buck stops with Biden, he’s the president“

      4 years later

„Whoa whoa whoa you can’t blame the president for **gas prices!**“

Poor Biden … he was the victim of Covid mismanagement and supply chain tightening.

Spends 4 years fixing the economy.

Along comes the Pedotus and starts a war and spikes gas. Of course Republicans are going to look the other way.

To paraphrase: All high gas prices are bad but some high gas prices are worse than others.

Say it with me folks: *Because elected Republicans are bad faith actors.*

Biden had little if anything to do with those gas prices. It was Russia invading Ukraine that caused the market to panic. Even the inflation under Biden had a lot to do with Trump giving out trillions of dollars during covid and very low interest rates that shot home prices up (i certainly benefited from this, though).

Current gas prices is all on Trump and the Republican party. That’s why the blue wave is coming.

      Patience?

The escalator announcement was 11 years ago.

In those 11 years, I haven’t seen the slightest hint of evidence Trump was anything but a crook.

Are you telling me this is the time now? Any minute now, he’s going to become a real statesman and stop stealing everyting that’s not nailed down and some stuff that is? Any second now, he’s going to turn into a decent human being and not some maniac who threatened…. check notes…. Greenland, of all places?

The guy that’s mentioned in the Epstein files more often than Frodo is mentioned in Lord of the Rings? The guy that flooded his house to destroy evidence of all the boxes upon boxes of top secret documents he had stolen and was probably selling to the highest bidder? The grab-em-by-the-pussy convicted of rape guy? The guy with the biggest crypto rug pull scam in history?

I’m supposed to wait for THAT guy to start doing the right thing????

      Are they all on crack?

Funny how gas prices went from The President’s fault at $3.50 to a complex geopolitical sacrifice at **$4.55**.

Once a Democrat is back in office, they’ll suddenly care about the budget and national debt too.

Just a friendly reminder our debt now exceeds GDP for the first time since WWII as gas and grocery prices approach record levels across the world. But there’s $1 billion for a ballroom.

    9. Why are the Democrats not running super clips of this blatant republican hypocrisy? Instead we have to watch the late night comedians do that job for us. Surely they can summon enough money for an ad budget that includes some calling out of this behavior.

The majority of white voters across all three elections: ‚Ask if we GAF! What we do GAF about is that Trump takes delight in the harsh treatment directed at LGBTQ individuals, people of color, and anyone else who isn’t with us. A sentiment that resonates with us as well. While you may continue your protests and vocalize your dissent, the reality is that when it truly mattered, we turned out on November 5th, while you did not. Brace yourselves for the continuation of this cruelty, the ongoing beatings and deportations. Because there are three plus more years of this, and we are just getting started.‘

Among those who voted, the majority of white men and white women voted for a racist, fascist, sexist, war-mongering kid rapist and kid killer in 2016, 2020, and 2024. *It was never about the price of eggs or gas.*

One of the most important things that must come out of this mess is Democratic politicians need to not just ignore but call bullhsit on dissengenous republicans complaints of things Dems do.

Like I never want to hear democrats entertain anymore of this bullshit when they are in power. When a reporter asks a Dem ‚how do you respond to republican criticisms of X‘ they need to look at that reporter and plainyl say ‚That is not a real thing they care about, and you as a reproter know that and are helping them be dissengeous‘.

When hyperpartisan media does no ‘media-ing’ at all, an entire faction huffs it’s own farts and is forever impotent to primary out criminals, crooks, or dictators.

There is zero interest in competency reforms for conservatives who seem incapable of threat assessment in a way that can only worsen without any effort to get more balanced media or to even make bribery in campaign finance illegal.

    13. They weren’t „Bidens gas prices“. Biden didn’t cause the pandemic and none of the bills or EOs during his presidency would have caused gas prices to go up.

    14. Knightoncloudwine on

Funny how that works. Now flip the script and imagine if Biden did any of this.

      Water wet…. Sun bright…. Republican hypocrite….

None of these things should surprise anyone.

All the patience in the world won’t protect gas prices from stupid, selfish, and greedy actions.

Having said that, they’ll preach patience right up until the day our next (D) president takes office. Then it will be all about gas prices being too high, the national debt being out of control, and the price of EGGS!

    17. aboutlikecommon on

This bitch Kennedy is a wannabe Lindsey Graham, which is just the most pathetic thing ever.

    18. Stonylurker on

They are lying hypocrites. Republicans, I don’t have to say anything bad about them, their actions speak louder than any words I could yell.

I just wish Americans weren’t so stupid. Made it too easy for the fascists at Faux News.

    19. New day, same refrain:

**Fascists don’t have standards. They have weapons.**
