Very surprised more people aren’t talking about this, I think most are under the impression that it is not easily transmitted person to person, and maybe it’s not & this will fade away into oblivion. But after covid, it would not surprise me if this thing was fucked with
I was way misinformed on this. I thought everyone who had it was still on the ship. Either dead or not allowed to disembark. Nope, I was way wrong. 6 people have disembarked or been evacuated, including the one OP mentioned. To at least 2 different locations (SA and the Netherlands). Also no rats have been found on the ship. And they did a land excursion through the area where the one human to human strain of the virus is from.
Hmmmmm
Edit: Also for my own interest, I did a search of the news website op posted. I’d never heard of it but it sounds like its a mainstream and well trusted source (take that however you like, just informational).
There was panic with the bird flu, this is the same. Don’t stress out about it
I don’t get the impression that this virus will be as serious as people are making it out to be. I even see people calling it Covid 2.0. I see a lot of people freaking out about it. I think it’ll be forgotten about in 2-3 months from now.
On a scale of monkeypox to COVID, where are we betting this sits?
Here we go … they won’t stop until they kill us all.
I was the one that made the post. KEEP A FUCKING EYE ON IT!
means cruise ship doesnt wanna admit there’s 100,000 rats aboard.
I thought this was a „conspiracy sub“ not a pack of npc’s/sheep? Lol are you people for real? „Covid 2.0“ „time to panic“ 😂 word of advice, if you’re still referencing covid to induce panic, you probably shouldn’t be on a conspiracy page..
I’m not doing this again.
Probably started by the guy who was watching forbidden anime
They want to reduce the population and I can totally see this being allowed out into the world. With the rise in AI and automation they won’t need more than half the people that are working now anymore and they sure as hell aren’t going to give out free income(UBI).
They have primed the general public to have no faith in vaccines and even if they roll out a real working vaccine most people won’t trust them enough to get it. Leading to increased deaths from the virus and then a couple years later deaths will start occurring from the „unforseen“ effects of the vaccine that were thought to have saved everyone that got them but really just prolonged their lives a 2-10 years. The people that did not get the vaccine, caught the virus, and survived the virus will be the only humans left in 12 years. Or maybe not, who knows?
Meh
Didn’t Covid originate from a cruise ship as well and happened while trump was president. Hmm. How easy would that be to experiment and disease a large enclosed group of people out at sea for a set period of time… I know it’s mostly a common theory but it happening again with these similarities makes me wonder. (And then to blame it all on a bat in ~cHiNa~ who does that sound like😆)
Most likely the virus will evolve to be much less lethal as it increases its human to human transmission capacity. Just like Covid and all other viruses trough the human history
Mousies .. not involved
Whatever they put in the covid jabs will be the real outbreak when it happens
I came remember watching Youtube vids back in Nov 2019 of this new virus spreading in Wuhan amd people laughing them down, amd nothing was coming out of China about it. In Dec 2019 here in Australia, Chinese nationals started buying all the PEP in stores and posting it back to their families as there was nothing available, but still totally not a story or anything to worry about….
RemindMe! 2 months
It has been known for some time (since the 90s) that there is a strain of the hantavirus that is transmissible between humans and thst is also more fatal. It was discovered in South America and was named the Andes virus. Some of this is mentioned in the article, guys.
Honestly, a hantavirus outbreak is unusual, but an outbreak on a cruise is not. They are hotbeds for disease spreading because of the close quarters. And because many peopel refuse to learn and practice basic hygiene, like hand washing after using the toilet. Usually it’s norovirus or something like that though.
For the hantavirus, all this takes is someone being sick before boarding. They might not have even realized if they didn’t have any symptoms or major symptoms yet.
This isn’t a new covid. It’s just blowing up in the media because the media can leverage it for views and clicks. People are scared of this stuff.
