Im a controlled immigration guy myself.

However, this really isnt a suprise if theres mass immigration of poor.

For example, the same thing happened when italians and irish came over to america, who were heavily reliant on social welfare or just putting strain on the system requiring far more policing(infact modern american policing came out of things like NYC gangs of new york style violence). Hell the army had to come in to kill a bunch of mainly irish that were rioting. Italians imported the mafia, irish imported groups like the fenians thar everyone forgets about, but legit tried to get america into 1812 pt 2 by invading canada to force a war where america could bog down britain in canada and irish could free themselves. 

This is the exact sentiment the know nothings pushed, which ended up with things like the largest single mass lynching in american history of 11 italians in New orleans, of whom even the new york times praised with slurs. Or the KKK burning crosses to intimidate these catholics. And insane conspiracy theories that they were building tunnel networks under city churches to strike and take over in the name of the pope. 

Also, its just not criminality. Importing „good“ groups causes even worse issues on a world stage. Like all the iranian and lebanese expats lobbying for this war. Or Cubans operating as CIA assets en masse in the 60s, then using that to establish massive drug networks in miami and to be involved in the likely killings of americans like JFK. 

Like indians dont commit many crimes. But the H1B and importation of them en masse arguably hurts americans more than any crime. Id rather have a risk of being mugged and have a decent job, then have my job given to an H1b.

Or Chinese dont bring in much crime, but have also brought in CCP loyal people to the point of having a mass parade for the Olympic snowboarder who played for china, on american soil, celebrating an american betraying america for china, and celebrating said victory over america. All while the CCP is so ingrained you cannot make the team if you have a negative view of it. And the way the CCP works, if asked to spy for them, you must, especially if family are back home. 

Its all about trying to balance assimilation and immigration. Italians and irish assimilated, but it took a generation or two. American culture is 100% better off with them here, but was worse off from purely a criminal and poverty standpoint. 

For example the typical irish family in the 1800s would be like 12 people in a tiny house. Married adults living with extended family for years. Cousins being raised in the same house. Said areas became ran down, seeped in crime, and they could be looked at as akin to all sorts of modern groups like when tons of hispanic immigrants are living in houses against zoning laws. Redditors if 150 years ago, would be making the same exact arguments against them being here, even if many descend from said groups.

So its way deeper than „crime“. Especially as the „good immigrants“ have also created nepotisic bubbles of mass wealth to the detriment of most americans as we see in the financial world and tech. And we also see it at street level with the mafia still controlling essential tri state area companies like construction and waste management. But we tend to ignore the white collar crime thats arguably far more destructive to society as a whole. 

And finally, for crimes like rape, a ton counted are within said ethnic group. Though there were grooming gangs, pretty much everywhere in the western world outside of urban america with black americans and asians, youre more likely to be victimized by a member of your own group. So a ton of these issues are „in house“. 

I think Scandinavian style mass influx of immigrants was insane. But at the same time, this is all a product of our own behavior in the middle east. We created refugees with the war on terror and the establishment of isis. They didnt come from nowhere, beautiful places like syria and Libya have been utterly destroyed so people emigrate. Its a natural effect of our own behavior, but we pretend to divorce ourselves from cause and effect when its our fault. 

Somalia is paying 20k per prisoner? Graph seems so broken. They cannot afford any of that.

I am shocked someone who would take as much as possible from a country they’ve never put anything into would also act the same way with women too!

At least in Denmark they’ve made good laws to protect their people which are much more robust then most of the European area, and they’re 100% better than the U.K on the issue.
