I bet that list looks oddly like the list of registered voters that got leaked.

Should be noted that this is over 100,000 less than the petition to remain in Canada got, which ended up getting ~404,000 to this petition’s ~301,000. So thats a pretty clear signal that while, sure, they got enough to force the question on this year’s referendum, it got less support than the other one did meaning that I don’t believe that the referendum will result in a Yes vote on this specific question.

More like, they’ve signed the names of 300K ppl. We see right through your game now folks.

    4. So less than the remain petition despite getting significant under the table support and and the remain petition facing multiple instances of political interference.

And that assumes they didn’t just grab names off the electors list they had access to.

„We found 295,000 signatures over the weekend and I promise its not related to the data breach of the voter base in Alberta“

    6. As an Albertan all my life, I believe there are that many stupid people here.

    7. polloyumyum on

300k might have signed the petition (which I doubt), but polls show only a fraction of those would actually commit to separating if it came to a referendum.

Anyone who genuinely signed this, feel free to DM me. I’d be happy to help you pack, and I’ll even grab you a Timmies gift card so you have coffee for the trip out of Canada.

      Pess x to Doubt.

That is nothing compared to the population even if true. That is not a flex they think it is.

So, this started around the 3rd of February, they claimed to meet the threshold of 177k at the end of march, so about 3000 signatures per day.

Now they are saying they have hit 300k, an increasing of say 3800 signatures per day?

I only saw a few, very sad and lonely people out trying to get signatures this last while, so I find if kind of suspect that they accelerated so much in the last month.

I personally know of 5 guys that openly bragged about signing it multiple times each. I don’t think this is going to turn out like they think it will.

    12. ChefFlipsilog on

Okay now how many of those signatures were forged by the Centurion Project colluding with them

    13. PragmaticBadGuy on

Considering the leak, it’s more likely that the majority is fraud.

I’m just waiting for the real numbers to come out being 2-3k.

    14. CertainHeart2890 on

Sure, tell me 300k signed it, but now there are questions about the veracity the of the signatures, so either show the signatures or start again

    15. Did they look for Elmer Fudd. Donald J Trump? Amongst those signature ? Probably more than a handful are fraudulent … or flat out US agents stoking the flame

    16. My separatist coworker told me they got 1 million signatures last month and then got mad when I told him he’s wrong

    17. Many on shitter and FB proudly say they’ve signed it „more than once“. Once they’re all verified, i’m sure the number will come down a healthy amount.

Also 300K is 6% of the Albertan population, so eat shit separatists.

Another wrinkle is that the gov’t should be forced to confirm every signature since some of these traitorous scumbags got illegal access to electoral lists.

    18. Going from 177k to 300k is quite the jump. This is a sentiment shared by many in this thread, but I’m skeptical these are legitimate signatures.

They also ignore that the Forever Canadian petition got more signatures.

Well then this video on how [separatist YouTubers are non-Canadian paid actors](https://youtu.be/NXafC7tlqt0?si=o6M57F8HIfqwJmyI) seems very timely.

It makes me wonder if it’s Americans paying for this kind of content, or if those company owners are just psycho-sociopathic.

Either way, this separatist crap needs to end. It’s a complete waste of time and effort. Go be productive in a real way.

    20. I find the word “leaked” referring to the voters list to be a weak explanation. It was illegally given to a non political party by a registered political party.

    21. subcritikal on

As an Albertan I don’t really get the end game of these ’separatists‘. They’re clearly manipulating the petition count to get ahead. So let’s just play devil’s advocate and assume that separation goes forward, despite all the obstacles (of which there are many…) Do they think that the majority of Albertans who didn’t vote for or want this this will just.. go along with it???
